This is an excellent controller app but the transport buttons are too small for me.
This app on iPad Air + cubase 8.5 pro ...works perfect . Love being able to run everything by myself while in the booth , quick and easy , thank you Steinberg..best thing since sliced bread
A waste of time and money. The screen shows blank, no information nor audio parts on the ipad/iphone. Tech support couldnt help me and wouldnt refund.
Its just not quite there yet. Its buggy and laggy, which for the asked price of 15€ is kind of outrageous.
A big improvement on the free IC, I have a lot more options for tracking - and even mixing - facing away from my computer. The price seems a tad high, but is cheaper than V-Control, but thats iPad-only; nice to be able to use my iPhone! Well done, Steinberg.
this is really cutting edge, thank you steinberg
Didnt get ant activation code and cant establish a connection.
Very limited features. Looks beautiful but useless without access to monitor screen.
I downloaded this app on iPad & iPhone and was up and running within 5 minutes. This is the perfect compliment to Cubase 7.
Ive used quite a few daw remotes from the App Store to control Cubase, including Lemur and V-Control, and this is by far the best of them. Extremely easy to set up, and it includes all the key commands and shortcuts in Cubase, which is easily my favorite part of it. Great work, hope they keep updating with features.
I had expected much more from this app. Should have researched before purchasing, might have spend $32 more and went with V-Control. I might still do that. As of 2/1/13, there are really only three useful features. 1) remote control of buttons to fast path (keyboard shortcuts) to the feature within the host Cubase (in other words use IC PRO to click Open File, now go to host to choose the file) 2) cue mix access 3) basic channel strip controls (M, S, fader, pan, etc.), track marker control (goto and add only), and transport controls (play, rec, L, R, etc.). Among the numerous shortfalls, absence of means to return to previous start (double stop in host), track display does not show tracks within folders, EQ, Inserts, track edits, etc etc etc. They have Cubasis interface with it all, so whats the trouble...probably none, more like incremental (€/$) delivery. Check all resources/forums before purchasing.
I use cubase 6.5 , works seemlessly. Make sure Bluetooth is turned off on your computer before you try to sync though. Was looking for away to control cubase from another room while I record drums. Works perfect. Lets you control cue mixes and everything. Bravo!!!!!!!!!
Takes a bit of learning and customizing, and theres room to improve still. For example, Id like to have the ability to rearrange ordering of the key command settings screens. Still, its a very nice compliment to Cubase 7.
My OS is Win7 64 bit. After spending a week with this app and downloading a recent update from Steinberg, I solved my connection issues - and yes, I WAS experiencing connection issues. First off, I have no other Steinberg app on my iPhone or iPad (and for that matter, I have no other DAW controlling app on my devices either. Some will argue but I think this may be important.) Then theres a turn-on process. I turn my PC on, connect to the Internet via my wi-fi adaptor, turn the app on in my iPhone or iPad or both (it will connect 4 devices) and then load my Cubase DAW program. In seconds Im connected and controlling Cubase from my devices. The app offers deep DAW control, allowing you to arm/disarm channels for recording, stop and start recording, move project markers, even create your own touch pad commands, and much much more. Its very cool for my remote needs but it has also been suggested that it be setup next to your keyboard to split DAW control functions. I was not that interested in this idea at first glance but I have now warmed to it. Sure, why not? I give the app 5 stars because it performs exactly as it was designed to perform. Steinberg will no doubt offer some new features down the road because they listen to there customers, but for me, even if nothing changes it has been money well spent.
Sure it is a fantastic remote for cubase.......but........no bars and beats option on ruler. Really! .?
I have been a loyal Steinberg customer since 1999. I use Cubase, Halion, and Wavelab. Steinberg has always produced well thought out and well executed products, and their ongoing support of products has always been strong. A controller for an iPad seemed like the perfect solution to the related issues of a multi-room home studio. Naturally I assumed Cubase IC Pro would be my best choice. I could not believe it when I discovered that there is no accurate input metering in this app. Sure, the meters move up and down, and indicate that a signal is present, but you could be clipping the signal and never know it with this app. Without accurate input metering, in my opinion this is almost an useless app.
Please fix the description that says it works with 5.0 and above. On your web site it says IOS six and higher. I just got duped for 16 bucks ! Can you please refund me?
I got every recording app have ,,and these apps should be more discriptive when they have a app right next to it that does function and the next one is jus controller ,, thats y I would stay away from commercial apps like cubasis and so on ,, READ THE DISCRIPTION IF SAYS CONTROLLER
No Cubase 5 support. Waste of money
